A Journey of Brushstrokes and Faith

Meet the Artist

Christina Tracy

"Painting, for me, has always been a kind of conversation , sometimes a search, sometimes a prayer.

My work moves through many visual languages: symbolic, narrative, representational, and occasionally edging toward abstraction. I rarely stay in one place for long. Like the seasons, the work changes as life changes, reflecting the inner landscapes ,

I find myself walking through also the fragile human story.

At the heart of it all is a fascination with creation, people, creatures, light, and the quiet presence that seems to live within the world itself. Much of my painting is rooted in my personal search for God. I am drawn to the places where the visible world hints at something deeper: where light, colour, and form begin to feel like a language pointing beyond themselves.

Painting has become a way of paying attention , to beauty, to struggle, to the mystery between heaven and earth. Some works emerge gently; others arrive through long wrestlings before they find their form. In that sense, each painting carries something of the journey that made it.

Over the years my work has gradually leaned further into the language of creation itself, animals, landscape, and the sacred atmosphere that surrounds them, exploring how the physical world can reflect the hand of its Creator.

I do not hide earlier works so have them archived to see. They belong to the path as much as the newer ones. Together they tell the story of a life spent learning to see.

If there is a hope behind the work, it is simple: that a painting might offer a moment of stillness, a shaft of light, perhaps,  where someone feels beauty, wonder, or even a quiet reminder of God’s presence in the world."
